Kerrigan’s Butchers is a second-generation craft butcher’s shop based in Fingal. Their use of traditional butchering skills led to difficulties in 2013 when their business began to grow rapidly. Their Local Enterprise Office were able to help them adapt through their online voucher scheme. This scheme was able to provide a contribution to the making of a company website and social media courses for the staff. The LEO helped Kerrigan’s to assess their carbon footprint. The LEO’s Green Grant allowed for a consultant to have a look through the business and develop their target of becoming carbon neutral in the coming years.
